-Merriam Websters dictionary

'Literati', the term comes from Litteratus, that is a 'man of letters' in Latin. This implied people who could read and write, a distinction that carried a lot of weight when literacy was not widespread. Today, in the information age, Literati would refer to scholars and academicians who apply their superior minds for a greater good.

At Literati, the annual technical fest of the National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra, we try to provide a platform to the best minds of the nation to come together and work for the same 'higher purpose'.

Going by the world's needs today, we have decided to keep "Let's go GREEN" as this year's theme for Literati. This year, we pledge to make students, the future of the industry more aware of their actions, so tomorrow in the 'real' world, they will be able to design projects which help preserve our Nature. This perhaps, will be how we, the 'Literati' can payback to Mother Nature.
